Meet our team

Shawn Putnam, owner of Putnam Homes, was born and raised in Frederick and loves this town. After graduating from Governor Thomas Johnson High in 1987, he continued on to Shepherd College where he would play football and graduate with a degree in Business Management. During high school, Shawn worked with his uncle’s construction company to trim and remodel houses. After college graduation, he continued to learn the trades while doing punch out work for Ryland Homes and then later as a project manager for Ausherman Homes, which was bought out by Drees Homes. Shawn has over 30 years of experience in the home building industry and has managed the construction of over a thousand single family, townhomes, and condominiums. He is a member of the Frederick County Building Industry Association. Shawn lives in Frederick with his wife, Kathy, three children, Lexi, Jack and Nick, and two rescued pets, Auggie and Milo.
